Hiatal Hernia Diagnosis

Hiatal Hernia Diagnosis: Hiatal hernias are most commonly diagnosed when patients are being treated for their
heartburn and symptoms don’t resolve on medicine. Usually a combination of a history
and physical examination by a qualified healthcare professional, along with a procedure
where a camera is placed through the mouth into the stomach (endoscopy) is sufficient to
make the diagnosis. Sometimes imaging studies such as computed tomography can help.
