What is and Inguinal Hernia?
Inguinal hernias occur in the groin, where the muscles are naturally weak. Femoral
hernias can also develop in the groin where there’s a natural opening alongside the
main blood vessels to and from the leg. Men more commonly develop inguinal
hernias, while women are more prone to develop femoral hernias. Both can allow
fat, intestines, or bladder to push through the area of weakness causing a bulge in
the groin, upper thigh, or scrotum in men.
